What a fabulous hotel: beautiful outside and inside; the rooms were beautifully decorated, the beds mega comfortable, We had one of best view in our whole stay in Albania: who can have a bath with a view on an illuminated castle! Stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; we booked the junior room the first night but it was noisy as on the first floor right above some bars; so the second night we were moved to another which was super quiet with outstanding views. Breakfast was really good. A shame it was raining as we coudlnt enjoy having breakfast on the great terrasse. But as everything is beautiful as soon as you walk outside, it wasnt such a big deal. Their restaurant is delicious too.

The food was remarkable – authentic, delicious, and served by a waiter with a great sense of humor, adding to the overall delightful experience. What truly stood out was the staff – they were amazing, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels we've stayed at during our journey, and we believe it truly deserves 4 stars. Highly recommended!

I booked a room with a balcony, which was really worth it, giving me excellent views both over the town and up to the castle.

The location of the Hotel was in the heart of the old town, close to all the attractions. The room was spacious with a wonderful wooden furniture and surrounded by large characteristic windows. The terrace near the room offered a wonderful view of the city and the castle. The staff was friendly and very supportive. You can enjoy the breakfast served on the terrace. I would recommend Hotel Kalemin 2 to all visitors and families with children who want to visit Gjirokastra.
